What I’ve Been Working On…

Faith without works is dead (James 2:26).

I have been working on my character—on how I can be a better person, and how I can strengthen my relationship with the Lord. This journey requires dedication, meditation, mantras, and prayers. It demands discipline and focus, waking up every day to ask my Creator, “What do You require of me?” Then, waiting patiently for a reply, and being diligent to carry out the will of my Heavenly Father.

The Word of God says, “Pray without ceasing” (1 Thessalonians 5:17), and that takes work!

Nobody in this world achieved anything without some kind of effort. Perhaps their parents worked tirelessly to provide a life for their children. Even the land we live on was fought for through the sacrifices of soldiers in wars for our freedom. Everything requires work and sacrifice from someone.

Most importantly, we must acknowledge Yahweh’s work in establishing creation. Through His mighty and powerful Words, the world came into being (Genesis 1). And, ultimately, Christ’s work on Calvary’s Cross—His ultimate sacrifice—brings us salvation from eternal damnation. Through His bloodshed, we are set free! (Colossians 1:20)

So, I work daily to show myself approved (2 Timothy 2:15), striving to be worthy of the call He has placed on my life.

Amen.

A serene scene of a man and a woman kneeling in prayer, hands clasped in devotion, seeking connection with Yahweh through the Holy Spirit. Soft rays of divine light illuminate their faces as they pray with reverence and humility. The setting is peaceful and intimate, with a warm atmosphere symbolizing faith and deep spiritual connection. The image conveys a sense of hope, surrender, and the powerful bond between believers and their Creator.
