“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.”
Scrolling, clicking, and engaging – that’s where most of my reading happens these days. As a Digital Media Specialist and Social Media Manager, Facebook and online content fill my hours. But there’s a tug on my soul to return to the timeless act of turning physical pages.
It’s been too long since I sat down with a paper book. I miss inhaling its scent. I long to soak in words without a screen’s glow. When I find those moments to read, I seek spiritual nourishment. These are words that ground me. They fill me and elevate me.
Lately, the closest I’ve come to reading is by listening – immersing myself in the living words of the Bible. It’s a different kind of reading, but in its way, it brings me closer to what really matters.
