π Proverbs 7:4-5 π
“Say to wisdom, βYou are my sister,β and to insight, βYou are my relative.β They will keep you from the adulterous woman, from the wayward woman with her seductive words.”
π The Word of God tells us to speak to Wisdom as if she is a person. This is a call to prayer. When we invite the Holy Spirit into our lives, He communicates our desires to the Spirit of Wisdom. When Wisdom is truly your sister, you stand for her, fight for her, and reject anything in opposition to her. Foolishness and folly are constantly at odds with Wisdom, trying to draw us into paths of destruction.
Adultery, like all folly, leads to ruin. Just days ago, we reflected on the consequences of adulteryβit brings pain, regret, and destruction. Here, Wisdom acts as a protector, shielding us from the seductive and destructive path of folly. This is not merely a metaphor but a spiritual conflict: Wisdom versus Folly, angel versus demon.
π Reflection:
Are we choosing to walk with Wisdom, standing for her as we would a beloved sister? Let us reject foolishness and seek the path that leads to life, understanding, and Godβs peace.
