Proverbs 15:1
“A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.”
Gentleness is a powerful tool that can calm storms and mend broken relationships. Yet, staying gentle isn’t always easy—especially when faced with rudeness, arrogance, or anger. Kindness can feel like an open door for others to take advantage of you. But remember, being gentle isn’t a sign of weakness; it’s a reflection of Christ’s strength within us.
Jesus, too, spoke truth boldly, and not everyone received it well. Still, his actions were always guided by love. Following his example, we can learn to let go of our own feelings when they clash with God’s higher calling.
Don’t let others’ behavior dictate your actions. By choosing gentleness over retaliation, we guard our hearts and reflect the peace of Christ. And if staying kind means stepping away from negative influences, that’s okay too. Protect your spirit, but don’t let others rob you of your God-given character.
Let’s make gentleness a daily practice—not just for others, but for the joy it brings to our own hearts.

“A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.”
